M.A.D.stood for "Mutual Assured Destruction," the term which, depending on your political persuasion was either the greatest peacekeeping arrangement or meant imminent doom for all living things. M.A.D. were one of nearly four dozen Northern California and Nevada bands featured on the Faulty Products distributed Alternative Tentacles LP, NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT.

M.A.D. were from the beautiful coastal
community of Santa Cruz, California (home not only of Humans but also the birthplace
of humble webmeister Mr. Bill's lovely doting mum)! The bandmembers went simply by their first names: Steve (guitar),
Dave (bass), Bill (drums) and Clifford (vocals). Beyond that, little else, info-wise, seems to be available at this
time...
NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (VIRUS 14): features
"Holocaust" on Side one, cut four.
Unfortunately at the present time we found no links to websites pertaining to M.A.D., nor is
there any fan club info. However the latest alternative and punk music around can be found at the
Alternative Tentacles website. Check it out!
