Modern Movies Suck
I’m usually not one to say much about films, unless they are classic movies, which are the staple of my collection. But having seen numerous discussions online about the content of modern films, I have to wonder what brand of handcart our society is going to hell in, and how quickly.
What Is It With Operating Systems, Anyway?
I have used an IBM PC-based computing system since I first started using a computer back in the early 80s. Since then, I’ve moved from DOS 3.0 up to Windows XP Professional, with many stops along the way. At one point I’d considered getting an Apple Macintosh computer, but back then, the price was prohibitively expensive, as was the software. In recent years, I’ve even had experience with another operating system, which ran on my current hardware. I’m not really convinced any one system is better than the other, but I am convinced that some of the other computer users out there are truly whacked!
Google’s Online Services: A Review

When they began their public beta (testing) period for their mail service, Gmail, I signed up early on and giave it a fair try. Since then, they have added numerous other free services for end users, and they are just now beginning to charge corporations for use of these services in an enterprise setting. Google has come a long way, and I felt I should share some of my discoveries in case you may have overlooked them.
Mini Review: Lego Star Wars for GameCube
I’m not a hardcore gamer, but I still enjoy a good hour or two with an entertaining video game. The Lego Star Wars game was released a couple of years ago, but it recently dropped to the sub-$20 price level, meaning it was an easy purchase for me. I had never really paid attention to it, but for the money, it was worth a try. I was not sure if it would just be a rip-off of the Star Wars story that would grow old after a couple of plays, or provide something unique.
