Honda: Future Models

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’ve been a Honda fanatic for awhile. I’d struggled with other cars that left me stranded, or just fell apart well before their prime. (Don’t even get me started on our ’02 Malibu.) But I’m usually excited to see new Honda models come out, since Honda keeps their models on a strict 5-year schedule now. At the North American International Auto Show back east in Detroit, Honda has unveiled two cars. Read on for a couple of “borrowed” pictures!

Burt Bacharach: Something Big

If you have been looking around the world to get CD versions of Burt Bacharach’s A&M albums, there is no better time than the present to grab yourself a copy of the Something Big box set, issued by Hip-O Select. Fortunately, Bacharach’s A&M albums are under the same corporate umbrella as his Kapp recordings from the 60s, so it was an easy task to put all of them into a box set.  So, how good is this set?

Open source software in 2007

Over the past couple of years, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the open source software available for the many websites I operate. For many years, I looked around the internet for ready-made applications, written either in Perl or PHP. And more often than not, was highly disappointed by what I’d found. In the past couple of years, though, I’ve come across many good applications that have proven to be attractive, professional, usable, flexible (easily modified) and relatively easy to install. Some have proven to be better than others, but overall, there has been a big leap forward in quality and popularity.
