It’s typical weather here for this time of year! One day you’ll have a warm day in the 50s or 60s, and the next, you could be outdoors scraping frost off of your car. This year is no exception! October 30 was a good day for trick or treating–a couple of places locally were doing their trick or treat parades that day, and the weather was perfect for it. Halloween day? Evening temperatures were in the low 40s. We’ve already seen snow. Not just flurries, but snow showers where we had some stick to the ground for a few hours. Let’s hope we have a mild one this year too!

New Book Release: The Color Of Jazz by Pete Turner
If you have ever admired the bold colorful photography of Pete Turner, especially on the numerous album covers that his pictures have adorned, you’ll be ecstatic over his new book: The Color Of Jazz. The book features a foreword by Quincy Jones, and afterword by producer Creed Taylor, and the meat of the book–100 album cover reproductions bound into this 12×12 book. Once we get ahold of a copy of this book, we’ll post a full review here. In the meantime, get ahold of this book and enjoy some of Turner’s best photographic work.
